Sammy C Invitational Session Update

As you all probably know by now, the Sammy C Invitational contest has been cancelled due to bad weather. Instead of the contest, Sammy decided to just have everyone session the jump, learn new tricks, and get some sick footage and photos. Today the whole crew sessioned for the afternoon, followed by a sunset shoot with JF Houle, Alexis Godbout, Sammy C, and Dane Tudor. The valley was full of clouds while the sun was going down and resulted in some awesome images. You’ll have to wait to see the shots by Eric Seo, but in the mean time here are some shots of the session today. The final session on the jump is going down on Monday afternoon/evening. We will be sure to let you all know what went down.

Sammy C Invitational – Training

The first ever Sammy C Invitational kicked off for training today at Mt. Hood.  We got up to the jump site at Windell’s late this morning to have a look at what Sammy built, and start testing it out before the contest tomorrow.  The jump is an easy 105 ft. to the knuckle and easily the biggest contest jump that most have ever seen.  After a few test jumps to get the speed right, the crew put on their gnarly boots and got after it.  Everyone was killing it and having fun on the jump. Unfortunately, Durtschi took a spill on his last jump and had to be carted off by the patrol.  We all have our fingers crossed that he will be good to go for the morning.
