Freshtival 2009

Last weekend we headed down to Calgary, AB for the annual Freshtival Film Festival.  It was sure to be an epic event with shredders like Sean & Callum Petit, JP Auclair, Mike D, Mike Henituk, Dana Flahr, Eric Pollard, Phil Casabon, Rory Bushfield, Ian Cosco, and hundreds of amped skiers in attendance.

We drove down to Calgary on Friday afternoon just in time to check out the new MSP film, “In Deep”, and Field Productions “Eyes Wide Open”.  There were hundreds of skiers on hand to create very stoked vibe in the theatre.  If you haven’t seen these movies yet, I suggest you run down to your local shop or find out where the nearest premiere is and go check them out!

Saturday was a busy day with with six different movies premiering which included Rage, Level1, Nimbus, Poorboyz, Transitions, Ride the Planets, and Poorboyz.  Before each premiere, Freshtival hosted a poster signing with a handful of pros that were featured in saturday’s movies.

A huge thank you goes out to Steve and Sarah Saranchuk, and the crew at Fresh Sports in Calgary for, once again, hosting an incredibly fun event.  If you didn’t make it down to Freshtival this year, be sure to check it out next fall!
